I will start seeing clients at Kihei Physical Therapy in November and will be accepting Workers Comp and MVA.
The quality of connective tissue decreases in response to traumatic experiences. In my training I have learned that most musculoskeletal problems have a visceral connection. Injuries, traumas or emotional stress can cause irritation within the organs. Any restriction, fixation or adhesion of an organ to another structure, no matter how small, implies functional impairment of this organ and can be felt anywhere in the body. Especially patients with chronic symptoms may benefit from the approach of not just focusing on the area of discomfort in order to encourage pain relief. For example, upper lumbar pain or sciatica may be related to the intestines or limited shoulder or neck mobility may have a connection to the liver or gallbladder. With skilled palpation and gentle visceral techniques the fascial structures of restricted organs can be released and their function improved. Craniosacral Osteopathy is a gentle form of touch designed to enhance the functioning of the membranes, tissues, fluids and bones associated with the central nervous system. It has proven to be very effective in treating head injuries, concussions or whiplashes any many other health issues.
My mission is to support clients with difficult conditions and help them to find their physical and emotional balance and wellbeing. I am looking forward to work in a great team of Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists and Personal Trainers.
